"Dominating the Oche: Trinidad and Tobago's Impressive Third-Place Finish at the Caribbean Darts Cup 2024"


The national Darts Team of Trinidad and Tobago secured a third-place finish at the Caribbean Cup of Darts in Jamaica. In the team event, the Senior team came in second following an impressive 6-6 draw with Florida, who eventually emerged as the Caribbean Cup Champions. This result led to a joint second-place finish alongside Florida, Bahamas went on to win the team event.



Karen Scott and Kimberli Rivas claimed victory in the Ladies Doubles, defeating Florida 3-2 in the finals. Despite not clinching the overall title, team coach Adam Da Costa expressed satisfaction with the players' dedication and pride in representing their country. He was moved by the passion displayed by each player, emphasizing their commitment to the red, white, and black.




Zachary Pierre, in his debut at the Caribbean Cup, reached the youth male finals, where he faced Maddox Williams of Florida. Although Zachary won the first leg, Williams eventually triumphed 2-1. Another newcomer, Joshua Young, had a strong tournament, reaching the semifinals of the youth male competition. Youth coach Gunesh Guptar was very proud of his entire team and was particularly impressed by the mental strength of Zachary and Joshua throughout the tournament, and he feels confident they will be even more clinical for future tournaments.


The 2026 edition is slated to be hosted by the Bahamas, with ambitions to build on the third-

place finish and strive for a comprehensive victory for Trinidad and Tobago once more.
