Unbeaten Run: Drifters Top Standings in Trinidad and Tobago National League of Darts Recap

The hot streak continues as Drifters remain undefeated after four matches. Match-day four of the National 501 League of Darts took place on Tuesday, 25th February 2025. Drifters took on Jus For Fun Vikings in what was a very one-sided contest from the start as Drifters established an early 5-1 lead over their rivals. There was a late surge by Jus For Fun; they were able to pick up two more wins but eventually lost the match 7-3. The Vikings sit in fourth place.

De Original Game Shot (D.O.G.S.) are one point behind Drifters in second place after dispatching newcomers Sea Wolves 9-1. It was a commanding performance topped by the individual brilliance of Joshua Balfour, recording a maximum for his team—a 180, the highest score one can produce in one turn by placing all three darts in the bed of the triple twenty. E-Z Lines bounced back in style, defeating newly promoted Scorpions 8-2. James Walklin was again the star of the evening, producing averages of 75, 76, and 88. The defending champions sit in third.

In B Division action, Jus For Fun Snipers lead the pack after a very hard-fought 7-3 win over a very tenacious Bullz I; seven games out of the allotted ten went to deciders. The Snipers remain undefeated and perfect with four wins from four. Pub House Pirates also remain perfect in the league after a come-from-behind win over Bulldogs 7-3. Bulldogs won the opening match, but their lead was short-lived as the Pirates were able to swing the score in their favor 3-1.

However, Bulldogs pulled a surprise and won the opening two singles after great showings from Justin Edwards and Goutam Heeraman, making the score 3-3. The Pirates showed their experience and were able to win the four remaining matches to see out a vital victory, which keeps them close on the heels of Jus For Fun Snipers. Rounding off the top three is Shanghai Bulls, picking up their second win of the campaign with a 9-1 thrashing of Top Shot.

The action resumes on Tuesday, 11th March 2025, with a mouth-watering match-up between Drifters and D.O.G.S. A battle of first vs. second, and it all takes place at #36 New Street in Port of Spain at 8:30 pm.
