The Caribbean Cup 2024 in Jamaica saw ongoing action on Friday, with the senior national team facing the Bahamas in the morning session. A victory was crucial for the senior team to enhance their prospects of winning the team tournament. The competition was intense from the beginning, as both teams were level at 2-2 after the first block. As the match progressed, neither team could gain an advantage, and the score remained tied at 4-4 going into the final block. Although the senior team initially led 5-4 after the first match, the Bahamas turned the tables by dominating the remaining three singles matches, ultimately winning the contest 7-5.
During the afternoon session, Team T&T faced Barbados in a crucial match that they needed to win. They got off to a strong start, winning the first block 3-1. Although the second block ended in a draw at 2-2, Team T&T maintained an overall lead of 5-3. The third block saw Team T&T secure an impressive victory, sealing a decisive 9-3 win in the match. Despite this significant score, the team still has a possibility of winning the team tournament, depending on results from other matches and their performance against Florida on day 4.


The Trinidad & Tobago youth team finished 2nd overall in the team tournament at the Caribbean Cup 2024 in Jamaica after an emphatic final match win against Turks and Caicos. Led from the start by team captain Vivek Gupta in both the mixed doubles and the male doubles, the national team was already 2-0 up. The team made a clean sweep in the singles round with wins by Garvielle Inniss, Zachary Pierre, and Vivek Gupta. The final game was the trios where Team T&T won comfortably, whitewashing Turks and Caicos 6-0, which propelled them to 2nd place overall.
